Estimate of Additional New Construction and Associated Maintenance Needed per Year Between Now and 2030: Two Scenarios

On June 24, 2014, Dr. David Ellis, TTI Research Scientist and Manager of the TTI Infrastructure Investment Analysis Program, presented before the Senate Select Committee on Transportation Funding, Expenditures and Finance two funding scenarios for Texas infrastructure and mobility needs as well as an assessment of additional new construction and maintenance needs from today through 2030. New TRENDS in projecting transportation funding

Detailed transportation funding information for Texas will soon be available to anyone with Internet access — thanks to an interactive website (called TRENDS) being co-designed by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). It’s the first time a state’s transportation funding projection model will be available to the public. TRENDS, by the way, stands for Transportation Revenue, Estimator and Needs Determination System.
